We’d love Jamiroquai back… En Vogue

THE girls from En Vogue have revealed an unlikely musical crush — Jamiroquai. The ’90s US dance sensations, who are on tour here, would love to get Jay Kay in the studio.
In an exclusive chat with Guilty Pleasures, the Don’t Let Go chart stars said: ‘We would love to work with Jamiroquai. We think he is just an incredible British artist. We love his music, we love his sound.
‘His voice is unique and different… He sounds like he would be fun to work with.’
On their new album Electric Café, the girls attempted to go all dance on their fans — but things didn’t quite go to plan.
Explaining their surprise change in direction ahead of their British dates, singer Terry Ellis, 54, said: ‘We thought it would be cool to do an electronic dance record but creatively it didn’t turn out that way. The creative process just started to morph back into our roots, which is RnB, funk and soul.
‘Our initial intention was to do an EDM record, which is why we called it Electric Café. We love the name and wanted to keep it.’
