Sex tape ruined Paris Hilton’s ‘bid to be like Princess Diana’

PARIS HILTON had hoped to reign supreme as a beloved public figure — but her dream was scuppered by the release of her 2001 sex tape.

Recalling the video, posted without her consent by then boyfriend Rick Salomon, now 48, she said: ‘It’s hurtful because my whole life I looked up to Princess Diana.’

Paris, 36, told Marie Claire: ‘I feel like [Salomon] took that all away from me.’ She felt she could have been like Diana ‘but, because of that tape, I will always be judged’.
