SERENA WILLIAMS has pledged to return to the tennis court after giving birth to her first child.

The world No.1 smashed talk she’ll quit in a letter penned to her unborn baby. Posting a pic of her bump while on a romantic break in Mexico with fiancé Alexis Ohanian, Williams wrote: ‘My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn’t know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players’ box next year.’

The 35-year-old signed off her cute note: ‘From the world’s oldest no.1 to the world’s youngest no.1, your Mommy.’

The 23-time Grand Slam winner, who announced she was 20 weeks pregnant on Snapchat last week, looked totally chilled out as she lounged around the Playa del Carmen resort with Reddit founder Alexis, 34, at the weekend.
