Aston thriller? No, I felt like a t**, says Ed

ED SHEERAN has so much money he no longer knows what to do with it.
‘I don’t think I need any of it,’ explained the 26-year-old, who raked in an estimated £27million last year. ‘I tried to stay exactly the same as I was before. And what I was before was, if I had a tenner I would spend £11. I’m still like that now.’
However, he has a way to go yet before he emulates rapper-style bling. ‘I’m not at rapper level because I don’t take private jets, but everything that comes in goes out very quickly,’ said Ed. He insists he spends his dosh on ‘good things’, adding: ‘That’s what I’ve tried to maintain and not being like “f*** everyone” and just staying in a castle somewhere.’
After buying a Mini and a 4×4, he admitted: ‘I bought an Aston Martin — I just feel like a t** in it.’ The Castle On The Hill singer, who seems to be getting serious about childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn, 24, also bought a house, but said: ‘It’s got to a point where I can’t do anything more with it [his money]. I’ve got a house that I live in and I’m very comfortable.’
Now the star, from Suffolk, is sharing the wealth with his family and making donations to charity. But his fortune is a double-edged sword as it has made some in his inner circle treat him differently. Ed told Zane Lowe on Beats 1: ‘They think you’re going to change because of it, so they treat you differently and inevitably you change your opinion because they’re treating you differently.’
Meanwhile, another change in his life is no more hangover self-loathing. He said of his album ÷ [Divide]: ‘There’s no drunken regret on it at all.’
