Zayn Malik: Harry just wasn’t my Styles

ZAYN MALIK has shed new light on his beef with One Direction — revealing he and Harry Styles barely said boo to each other in their boy band days.

Now up against Hazza as a solo artist, the Dusk Till Dawn singer said his relationship with his old 1D brothers is ‘civilised’ at best.

And he hinted he has had minimal contact with Styles.

‘To be honest, I never really spoke to Harry — even when I was in the band,’ Zayn, 24, confessed.

‘So I didn’t really expect that much of a relationship with him,’ he added.

Zayn, who previously had a Twitter spat with ex-bandmate Louis Tomlinson, said of his relationship with Liam Payne and Niall Horan: ‘We’re in touch. Everything is on a civil level.’

But he added: ‘It’s not the way it used to be, obviously. We were spending 24 hours a day in the band, now we’re growing as individual men but we still check in.’

And Zayn, who dates US model Gigi Hadid, revealed he was glad he shared his battle with anxiety, which forced him to cancel gigs, with fans.

‘People have a better perspective of where I was coming from at the time,’ he told Us Magazine.

‘I’m glad I got that off my chest,’ he added.
