X Factor judges confirmed as Robbie Williams, Ayda Field and Louis Tomlinson

SIMON COWELL yesterday confirmed the judges’ line-up for the next series of The X Factor — Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field, plus One Direction hunk Louis Tomlinson.
The trio will fill the gap left by last year’s judges Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger.
Robbie, 44, and Loose Women regular Ayda are the first couple to join the panel in the history of the ITV show, which launched in 2004.
Meanwhile Louis promised Directioners his singing will still come first. The 26-year-old tweeted to fans: ‘Music is always my priority obviously! Love you all.’

It was during X Factor’s 2010 run that 1D rose to fame, and Louis has acted as a guest judge.
Explaining his choices at a press conference, Cowell, 58, said: ‘I’m going to be honest, for me the most important thing when you create a panel is you’ve got to have good-looking people… which is why I chose myself.’
And he admitted: ‘We have tried to get Robbie on every show we have made for 18 years.’
Cowell got his way after Ayda, 39, became pals with his partner Lauren Silverman, 40.
‘It happened so quickly,’ he said. ‘They came to Britain’s Got Talent one night and it all seemed perfect, they came back to my house, we had a little chat and did the deal.
‘Ayda I consider the rock. Robbie can be a bit nuts, but passionate about music.’
He described Louis as ‘brilliant with talent’.
