Woody Harrelson: Brad Pitt’s just going through a rough patch
WOODY HARRELSON has lent his support to Brad Pitt after the World War Z star opened up about his ‘problem’ with alcohol and accepted the blame for his split from Angelina Jolie.
The Hunger Games star told Good Morning Britain: ‘Brad is a great guy. I’ve hung out with him. He’s an amazing person.
‘He’s very giving to his fans.’
Harrelson added the Hollywood elite have their problems like the rest of us. ‘Everybody has to go through things,’ said the 55-year-old. ‘You don’t stop being human. Things still happen. I hope things go well for him.’
His warm words came after Pitt, 53, admitted ‘boozing too much’ but said he was on the wagon and now had ‘feelings in my fingertips again’.
‘Truthfully I could drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka. I was a professional. I was good,’ he told GQ Style magazine.
The Oklahoma-born actor, who has six children with Jolie, said he was now in therapy.
Pitt faced an FBI probe into an alleged altercation between him and his adopted son Maddox, 15, on a private plane last September — days before Jolie, 41, filed for divorce.
The investigation was closed in November with no charges brought.
