Winning Mercury means Everything Everything to us

WHILE £25,000 might be a drop in the ocean to well-heeled rivals such as Noel Gallagher, Everything Everything already had big plans ahead of last night’s Mercury Prize.
Despite having a top-five hit with their nominated album A Fever Dream, the indie quartet from Manchester (pictured) told Guilty Pleasures that if they won: ‘We’re going to use the money to pay back the record label!’
It’s a win-win for fans, too, as they added: ‘We’ll celebrate by writing a new song.’
Everything Everything performed at the bash last night, along with fellow nominees including Everything Is Recorded, Novelist, Nadine Shah, Florence + The Machine, Jorja Smith and Wolf Alice, who won the prize for their album Visions Of A Life.
