THE fashion industry still has barriers to tear down, says Naomi Campbell after her good friend Edward Enninful was appointed editor of Vogue.

Headlines focused on him being a gay man who arrived in Britain as a child immigrant from Ghana. ‘It would be nice if they just said Edward Enninful has gotten the job,’ said Naomi (pictured with Enninful above). ‘It is a great triumph of course.’

Of Enninful, 45, she said: ‘Edward is fashion. He knows pop culture, he knows street culture, he’s perfect. You couldn’t have anyone better suited for this job.’
