Why I didn’t take chance to drop my Kit at the altar, says Harington

KIT HARINGTON says he avoided a confusing name game when he tied the knot with his former Game Of Thrones co-star Rose Leslie.
The actor decided to ditch his birth name after he confirmed that he did not find out that he was really named Christopher until he was 11 years old.
In the end, the 31-year-old decided to remain as Kit when he and Leslie, also 31, exchanged vows at a church in Aberdeenshire last month.
Kit, who plays Jon Snow in the fantasy epic, said: ‘I got married recently and I had to decide whether I was going to be “I Christopher Catesby Harington take you Rose Leslie…”
‘I went, “Nah actually, I’m going to drop it, my name’s Kit”… so I’m not Christopher any more.’
The reception was held at Wardhill Castle — Rose’s former family home — and guests included their GoT co-stars Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke. Kit told Radio 2 the couple’s wedding day was ‘amazing’, adding: ‘It was everything I could have wanted and more.’
