When Katy Perry goes cuckoo Orlando Bloom keeps her cool

KATY PERRY says on-off-on-again beau Orlando Bloom is helping her to sort her head out — because he grounds her.

The pop star has warned fans not to expect any new tunes for a while as she focuses on her rekindled romance with the actor.

‘[He’s] a great anchor,’ she said of the heart-throb, 41. ‘For some reason, I attract people who are really real and call me out on stuff when I’m being cuckoo.’

The Firework singer, 33, also suggested she thinks her popularity is on the wane.

‘I’m not going to go straight into making another record,’ she told Footwear News magazine. ‘I feel like I’ve rung the bell of being a pop star very loudly, and I’m very grateful for that. But I don’t feel like I’m a part of a game any more; I just feel like I’m an artist. I don’t feel like I have to prove anything, which is a freeing feeling.’
