Tired Thom Yorke tried to Radiohead for the hills

FORGET OK Computer — it was more ‘not OK commuter’ for Radiohead’s Thom Yorke when he messed up an attempt to flee his fans.
After having only one month off in five years during the ’90s, Yorke suffered a meltdown during a sound check in 1997.
The Karma Police singer, 48, told Rolling Stone: ‘I did have fun sometimes but the way people talked to me, I could not f***ing handle it — I walked out of a sound check.’
Once outside, he leapt on a train — but it was carrying fans to the gig. ‘There was nowhere to go, so I hid on the train,’ he admitted. ‘And that was the nearest I came to trying to escape.’
