Was Brendan bidding Strictly farewell?

FANS have begged Brendan Cole not to leave Strictly Come Dancing for good after he seemed to hint he might be considering a permanent exit from the show.
Professional dancer Brendan and his Good Morning Britain partner Charlotte Hawkins became the third couple to get the boot from the series on Sunday night after the judges voted to save EastEnders star Davood Ghadami — and many viewers were convinced Cole was making a ‘farewell speech’.
Speaking to Strictly host Tess Daly after getting his marching orders, Brendan said: ‘Not often you stand here with such sadness and go, “I’m going to miss this and I’m going to miss hanging out with this girl.”
‘I’m going to miss dancing with her, I’ve had one of the best Strictlys in 15 years and it’s hard for me to even say that and I feel really emotional.’
Cole’s comments concerned fans, with one tweeting: ‘Brendan sounded like he doesn’t think he’ll be back again next year — really hope he is.’
Another agreed: ‘That sounded like a farewell speech from Brendan.’

A source hinted to The Sun that Cole’s lack of promotion and clashes with judges — particularly newbie Shirley Ballas — this year ‘have led top bosses to wonder how long he’ll stick around for’.
The insider added: ‘They don’t want him to leave. Deep down, Brendan doesn’t want to either, but options are being weighed up.’
Meanwhile, many fans were beside themselves with worry that this might be it for Brendan.
One tweeted: ‘Don’t you dare quit @bbcstrictly. You ARE Strictly. You’ve been there from the get go & the fans love you being there.’
Another agreed, posting: ‘Hope you stay for another series and give that Ballas woman hell’ — perhaps referencing their infamous fall out over whether one routine had too much ‘rise and fall’.
Meanwhile, Brendan’s dance partner Charlotte was visibly upset this morning as she resumed her GMB role, welling up and admitting it had been ‘a difficult morning’ and that she was ‘sad that it’s all over’.
