Voice star Mo Adeniran is reunited with mum

THE Voice winner Mo Adeniran has been reunited with his birth mother — and changed his name back to hers.

The 22-year-old singer, who spent years in social care, is now known as Mo Jamil. He decided to drop the Adeniran name after getting back with his mum last year.

‘It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,’ Mo told GP before attending the Global do. ‘We got to know each a little more, we had a great time, she’s a really nice woman. One of the things I thought of is my name, I wanted to change it to my original name.’

The former hotel worker, born to Nigerian parents, has spoken previously about being adopted into a family at the age of three, only to be removed because his carer was abusive.

Mo’s new single, That Feeling, is out now.
