Top Gear star plans to park his career

MATT LEBLANC reportedly wants to put the brakes on his acting and presenting work.

It seems the former Friends star has been evaluating his life as he builds up to his big 5-0 this year and he has now decided to spend more time with his daughter, 13-year-old Marina, whom he shares with ex-wife Melissa McKnight.

‘I want to retire in my early fifties,’ he reportedly said on the Top Gear set.

‘I want everything set up. Otherwise you look and go, “50! Whooo, where did that go?”

‘I’m beginning to take stock. I want retirement accomplished.’

What this means for the motoring show remains unclear as it is believed the BBC was hoping to rebuild the brand around the Friends star.
