To Cut A Long Story Short… Tony Hadley quits Spandau Ballet

IT’S True… Tony Hadley has quit Spandau Ballet. The singer, 57, broke the news yesterday with the rather cryptic tweet: ‘Due to circumstances beyond my control, it is with deep regret that I am required to state that I am no longer a member of the band.’
Ex-bandmates — Martin and Gary Kemp, Steve Norman and John Keeble — tetchily replied: ‘Much to our frustration, Tony made it clear in September 2016 he didn’t want to work with the band anymore. This has not changed.’
To coin the band’s 1980 hit To Cut A Long Story Short, it seems the Gold hitmakers aren’t indestructible after all.
