This is nuts! Dua Lipa blasts airline over sister’s allergy

DUA LIPA has blasted an airline after claiming that cabin crew refused to stop serving nuts near her sister, who has a potentially deadly allergy.
The New Rules singer said she politely asked that no nut products be handed to passengers on the United Airlines flight because of the risk that her younger sister, Rina, would suffer an anaphylactic shock.
But the London-born 22-year-old claims she was told ‘this is not a nut-free airline’ and advised that Rina would have to have an injection of adrenaline if there was a problem.

Dua shared her anger with her 2.38million followers, tweeting: ‘I’m on a @united flight and I told the steward that my sister was severely allergic to nuts and his reply was “we’re not a nut free airline so if she has an epi pen she might have to use that as we can’t not serve other passengers in your section nuts.” Just me or is that kinda mental?’ Her fury was met with a sympathetic response from fans, including pop star pal Anne-Marie who posted: ‘rah wtf.’
The airline later tweeted: ‘We apologise for this situation. Passenger safety is our top priority. We can’t guarantee an allergen-free environment but work to address allergy concerns onboard, so let’s connect when you land.’
Dua’s rant came days after she vented at trolls who target successful women.
She told her online critics: ‘I praise every woman killing s*** cuz people will hate on you for no reason.’
