The La La Land star, 28, and 33-year-old Garfield ran into each other at a pre-party held in Kensington Palace.

Before their cosy reunion in the King’s state apartments, Hacksaw Ridge actor Garfield admitted they were still close, despite their 2015 break-up.

‘We care about each other so much, and that’s a given, that’s kind of this unconditional thing,’ he said.

Despite the party being held in their home, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were not at the bash.
