Taylor Swift’s takings are down, but Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs raps things up

TAYLOR SWIFT has been toppled from the top spot of the Forbes annual rich list after her earnings tumbled $126 million (£99.5m) in a year.
The Bad Blood singer was the highest earning global celebrity last year, earning $170m after her 2015 world tour.
But despite continuing to hit the headlines with high-profile romances (Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston) and heated feuds (Kanye West and Katy Perry), Taylor had a notably quiet spell last year — from a professional point of view at least.
Without a tour or any major album release to boost her earnings, her Forbes position dropped to number 49 — and it’s fellow musician Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs who took her place, with earnings of $130m.

The rapper has raced to the top largely thanks to his commercial endeavours — Sean John clothing line and Diageo Ciroc vodka partnership — as well as his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour.
Rounding out the top three, Beyonce took second place, earning $105m from her Lemonade album and Formation tour, and Harry Potter author JK Rowling came in third with $95 million.
Perhaps Taylor’s fortunes will rally now she’s returned to music streaming service Spotify, but without some new material her chances of regaining the top spot look slim.
