Taylor Swift’s ‘secret love for rising British actor Joe Alwyn’
TAYLOR SWIFT is secretly dating a British actor who lives with his mum and dad, it was claimed last night.
The ‘besotted’ singer has been renting a house in north London and keeping a low profile while she spends time with rising star Joe Alwyn, who starred in the movie Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk last year.
The actor is Swift’s first serious boyfriend since her high-profile split from British thesp Tom Hiddleston last September.
‘Taylor and Joe are the real deal,’ a source told The Sun.
‘This is a very serious relationship. But after what happened with Tom Hiddleston, they were determined to keep it quiet.’
According to the paper, the multi-million selling Shake It Off singer has been flying into the capital on a private jet and adopting a number of disguises to throw fans off the scent.
Alwyn, 26, a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, also appeared earlier this year alongside Jim Broadbent, Charlotte Rampling and Emily Mortimer in the film adaptation of Julian Barnes’s The Sense Of An Ending.
Swift, 27, has a string of previous British boyfriends including Harry Styles and Calvin Harris.
‘This isn’t a new couple alert or a secret relationship,’ a friend said. ‘The only people this has been a secret to is the media because all of us, Taylor and Joe’s closest friends and their families, were aware they have been together for several months and have known each other for a long time.
‘After her 1989 tour and all the attention Taylor received, she learned she had to be more protective of her personal life, and she and Joe decided early on to keep their private life private.’
Alwyn’s next movie is listed on IMDB as The Favourite, co-starring Emma Stone and Nicholas Hoult, and due out next year.
