Strictly star Ruth Langsford ends up bottom of the pile

IT WAS strictly scrum dancing as Ruth Langsford became the seventh star voted off last night.
The This Morning presenter was swamped by her fellow contestants in an affectionate tribute inspired by the previous weekend’s gaffe when she fell on partner Anton Du Beke. She lost to Paralympian Jonnie Peacock in the dance-off, having failed to impress with her foxtrot to Mack The Knife.
She said she was disappointed Du Beke won’t get the chance to escort her through next week’s live show at Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
Describing him as funny and fabulous, she added: ‘I hope we will be friends for a very long time. I’ve absolutely loved it, even the judges’ comments, even Craig’s — he knows I love him really!’
Langsford, 47, married to TV co-host Eamonn Holmes, had sobbed after performing on Saturday because Mack The Knife was a favourite of her late father’s.
