Stormzy rages at ticket touts
GRIME artist Stormzy had some choice words for touts after his tour sold out within minutes this morning.
The hip hop singer delighted fans by adding a third night at the 02 Academy Brixton after tickets for his Gang Signs And Prayer were snapped up in seven minutes flat.
But it wasn’t long before secondary sites started reselling the tickets for exorbitant prices — and Stormzy wasn’t about to let that stand.
‘F*** all these secondary ticket websites,’ he raged.
‘Please don’t buy tickets for more than face value. Sorry there isn’t more I can do, they’re c****.’
Many fans approved, with one tweeting simply: ‘@Stormzy1 you’re a good egg’.
But others called him out for not doing more.
One @smiffy11111 suggested he should switch to a different ticket seller, writing: ‘@Stormzy1 @Twickets there is, you and other artists have the power to stand up against touts. Make the change. #ToutsOut.’
And @elewisfrost agreed: ‘@Stormzy1 you can team up with @Twickets like Adele did.’
