Sir Rod makes tracks

IF you’re reading this on your way home in London, take a moment to check your train carriage for Sir Rod Stewart.

The Do Ya Think I’m Sexy singer is no stranger to using public transport, it seems — as a series of posts from his wife’s Instagram account yesterday show.

Clearly determined not to let his fans down for a second time, having had to reschedule a series of gigs last year due to a throat infection, Sir Rod avoided London traffic yesterday by taking the trusty train.

First, model and photographer Penny Lancaster posted a pic of the pair setting off, coffees in hand, with the caption: ‘Sneaking into London by train today.’

Later she posted a picture of Sir Rod going incognito on the Central Line in shades, a duffle coat and a pulled-up hoodie.

Despite — or perhaps because of — this get-up, he looked pretty conspicuous, but nobody on the carriage seemed to bat an eyelid and doughty Sir Rod made it to his O2 gig without incident, apparently.
