Sir Elton John hoisted over beach to boat by burly bodyguards
SIR ELTON JOHN certainly appears to be making the most of a relaxing break in the Med — by getting two minders to carry him to a motorboat.
The I’m Still Standing singer didn’t seem keen to get his feet wet — or just wasn’t up for walking on the sand — so asked his bodyguards to carry him.
As the pair hoisted the 71-year-old over the beach in Porto Cervo, northern Sardinia, two other men kept the boat steady on the shoreline so Sir Elton could be lifted aboard safely.
It is not thought Sir Elton — renowned for throwing diva-like tantrums and his lavish spending habits — had an injury when the extraordinary scene was captured on camera.
He is holidaying in the seaside resort with husband David Furnish and sons Zachary, seven, and five-year-old Elijah.
Sir Elton’s apparent precious behaviour appeared to be reminiscent of singer Mariah Carey, 49, who famously once put on her rider that she ‘doesn’t do stairs’.
Meanwhile, his 55-year-old husband showed he is still fighting fit by posting snaps of himself waterskiing and wakeboarding in the Mediterranean.
