Simon Fowler: I was outted by Scary Spice

OCEAN Colour Scene’s Simon Fowler says Mel B tried to pull him — until she realised he was gay.

The indie rocker (pictured) met Scary Spice on Chris Evans’ TFI Friday show in the ’90s, but her flirting was torpedoed when Ginger Spice Geri told her he was into guys.

And an exasperated Mel outted the singer to a studio audience.

Fowler recalled: ‘Mel was like, “No way, he’s not gay!” Geri said, “He is.” So Loud Spice goes on the microphone and shouts out, “Is he gay?” That was to the whole bloody audience. I think she got a better deal. She ended up with Eddie Murphy, much better money than I could have given her.’
