Shaun Mendes reckons dating’s not for him right now

AS POP stars such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande rush in to long-term romances around him, heart-throb Shawn Mendes has explained why he intends to remain single.

The There’s Nothing Holding Me Back singer insists it’s not because he can’t find anyone who is interested.

Mendes, who stepped out with Bieber’s fiancée Hailey Baldwin earlier this year, shared: ‘I’m not currently dating anyone, but it’s not because I don’t have time — I don’t know if I’d be dating anyone if I was home in Pickering, either.’

The 20-year-old Canadian star mused that love ‘hasn’t stumbled across me’, adding: ‘I’m not chasing it. Of course, seeing all those other artists and people in relationships, you think, “Maybe it would be nice; who would be great for me?”

‘And that’s when you realise, “This is wrong. Let it be. I’m not supposed to be with anyone right now.”’
