Scary slice! Mel cans book date after severing hand

SPICE Girl Mel B needed three hours of surgery at the weekend after breaking two ribs and severing her hand.

The 43-year-old shared a snap of her right hand in a foam protector but has not revealed how she got her injuries.

The mystery accident forced the singer to cancel a book signing in New York yesterday.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘Thank you to all the wonderful nurses, dr’s and my surgeon for the care and expertise given to me here at the hospital. I’ve had to unfortunately cancel my book signing. I’m absolutely gutted but can assure you it WILL happen at a later date.’
