Scarlett Johansson invites lookalike gran out for a Rough Night
SCARLETT JOHANSSON has invited a 72-year-old doppelganger to join her for a drink at her next film premiere — all expenses paid.
The bizarre offer came about after Reddit user Denver Joel Todd posted a picture of his grandmother Geraldine at the age of 22 looking strikingly similar to the 32-year-old Ghost In The Shell actress.
Scarlett got wind of the image and sent the woman’s grandson a video message expressing her shock at the resemblance.
‘This video is for grandma Geraldine,’ she said in footage posted on YouTube.
‘Geraldine, I cannot tell you, I have been absolutely inundated with emails and messages about how much we look alike. And I had to look at the photo myself. Holy c**p! I want to see you in person.’
Scarlett then went on to offer the lookalike lady a night out to her latest film premiere, Rough Night, with a ‘bunch of partying girls’.
‘I saw that you were quote “drunk as a skunk” when taking that photo, and I would like to see your drunk face,’ she said.
‘I want to share a drunk face with you. Let’s have a drink, Geraldine… Do you want to come and see Rough Night with me?’
The Hollywood A-lister then offered to cover all the glamorous granny’s ‘hidden expenses’, before concluding: ‘I’ll see you at the bar!’
Geraldine herself was said to be ‘jaw-dropping dumbfounded’ by the message.
And, sounding very much like he’s hoping to tag along, her grandson added: ‘We are so taking them up on their offer.’
