Scarlett faces tug-of-love over daughter Rose, two

SCARLETT JOHANSSON is gearing up for a bitter custody battle after filing for divorce from her husband Romain Dauriac.
The Avengers Assemble star ended months of speculation when she described her two-year marriage as ‘irretrievably broken’ in New York court papers.
Last night Johansson, 32, broke her silence to say she will not be commenting in order to protect their two-year-old daughter, Rose.
‘As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage,’ she said in a statement. Johansson, who was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds, is now set to lock horns with Dauriac over Rose.
She has asked a judge to grant her primary custody — but her ex won’t be going down without a fight. The French journalist is expected to contest her request on the grounds that her filming commitments are too overwhelming.
‘He would like to move to France with his daughter,’ confirmed Dauriac’s lawyer Harold Mayerson. ‘Ms Johansson does a lot of travelling.’ Hinting that events could turn ugly, he told the New York Post: ‘It will be an interesting process.’
■ HOLLYWOOD stars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have reportedly called off their divorce. The couple, both 44, are giving their marriage another go because ‘they love each other’ and their three kids, a source told People magazine. Batman star Affleck and Garner split in 2015 amid claims he had an affair with the nanny.
