Samira Mighty quits Love Island for a chance with Frankie

SAMIRA MIGHTY has left Love Island to ‘follow her heart’ by pursuing a future with Frankie Foster.
The 22-year-old dancer decided to quit after Frankie was eliminated from the contest on Monday.
In last night’s episode, she told Ellie Brown, Dani Dyer and Megan Barton Hanson: ‘I’ve not had any connection in here with anyone and I had a little taste of that with Frankie… I woke up this morning and I thought, “It’s my time to go”.’
She said the decision was ‘so, so, hard’ but she would ‘follow my heart because I’ve never done that before’. ‘I’m not saying I’m in love with Frankie or we’re going to get married tomorrow but I don’t want to waste any time,’ Samira added. ‘I know this is the right thing to do.’
She then told the rest of the islanders, explaining: ‘I’m really happy that I’m doing this and I feel really strong.’
Samira’s exit comes as Ofcom received 630 complaints after contestant Idris Virgo stirred up trouble by talking to Laura Anderson about Jack Fowler and Georgia Steele’s kiss.
Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
