Ryan Phillippe’s riled as ex-fiancée wades into ‘assault’ row

RYAN PHILLIPPE won’t thank former fiancée Paulina Slagter for firing out a not so subtle tweet after he was forced to deny allegations he had assaulted another ex-lover.

Slagter, who dated the Cruel Intentions star for five years until 2016, tweeted: ‘When there’s smoke…’ Her post came hours after Phillippe, 43, was threatened with a civil lawsuit by Elsie Hewitt, 21, who alleges he ‘threw’ her down stairs in July. Police took no action against the actor after investigating her claim.

The dad-of-two said he was ‘saddened’ and ‘disgusted’ by her ‘false’ claims.

‘As a man, raised by a woman, in a household where women’s rights, feminism and advocacy were very much at the forefront, I am sickened my name can be found in any article where domestic violence is alleged,’ he added.
