Rosencrantz & Hiddleston! Tom to make Hamlet debut

TOM HIDDLESTON has signed up to play Hamlet in a production directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh.
Shakespeare’s tragedy will be staged to help raise £20million for Hiddleston’s former drama school, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Hiddleston, 36, who is often named among British stars from privileged backgrounds, said the money would help keep Rada ‘open for everyone’.
The Night Manager heart-throb, tackling the role for the first time, said: ‘Kenneth Branagh and I have long talked about working on the play together, and now felt like the right time at the right place. The performing arts exist to bring people together, not to keep them apart.’
Sir Kenneth, 56, said: ‘We are proud to have Tom Hiddleston lead an exciting group of actors as he plays the title role for the first time.’
Hamlet will run at Rada’s Jerwood Vanbrugh Theatre from September 1 to 23.
