Roast wanted! Why Harry was snubbed

NICK GRIMSHAW turned down the chance to hear a sneak preview of his mate Harry Styles’s eagerly anticipated solo album… so he could tuck into a roast dinner cooked by his mum.
‘I was meant to hear it on Sunday but my mum called to go for a roast,’ the Radio 1 DJ told Guilty Pleasures before he hosted Monday’s Elle Style Awards — where mum Eileen was his plus-one.
‘I can’t ditch my mum. You can’t blow your mum’s potatoes out,’ said the 32-year-old, adding: ‘I’m going to hear it soon, though.’
Tipped to release his new material later this month, former One Direction star Harry seems to be in the wars.
The 23-year-old stepped out in London earlier this week with his right wrist wrapped up in bandages.
But while his apparent injury might make it tricky for him to undo his shirt buttons, record bosses are confident that he has the Best Song Ever hiding up his sleeve.
Sony Music boss Rob Stringer teased: ‘We’re close and we have a record we’re incredibly excited about — and it’s not far away from being ready.
‘We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think he’s here to stay. Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who’s authentic.’
