Rhyming twang for ex-EastEnder Shane Richie

EX-EASTENDERS star Shane Richie (pictured) is in fine tune after landing a new deal… as a country music singer.
The star, who played Queen Vic landlord Alfie Moon in the BBC soap, has signed with Warner-owned East West Records to make an Americana album.
Richie said: ‘I’ve always been a fan of new country, so I’m really excited to record this album.’
The 53-year-old, who recently appeared in six-part EastEnders spin-off drama Redwater, has previously starred in West End musicals. His son Jake Roche, 24, is the lead singer in pop band Rixton.
