Renée Zellweger switches back to small screen

BRIDGET JONES star Renée Zellweger is joining a wave of A-listers swapping movies for TV as she returns to the small screen for the first time in almost 25 years.
The Oscar winner has signed to Netflix’s drama What/If, which starts filming later this year.
It is the 49-year-old’s first TV drama since she appeared in Shake, Rattle And Roll in 1994.
Zellweger will play a character named Ann in the social thriller, which will explore the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things.
She joins a string of movie stars recently diving into television, including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep in Big Little Lies, Amy Adams in Sharp Objects, Julia Roberts in the forthcoming Homecoming and Jennifer Aniston in an untitled project for Apple TV.
