Real Slim Shandy: Eminem’s down the boozer

EMINEM kicked off the MTV European Music Awards last night with a pint in a west London boozer.
The US rapper, 45, knocked back a quick slim shandy before getting on stage at ‘Stanley Mitchell’s Revival Pub’ — namechecking the character from his 2000 hit Stan.
He opened with new single Walk On Water before the action switched to Wembley’s SSE Arena, with pianist Skylar Grey, 31, standing in for Beyoncé.

The 8 Mile star was richly rewarded for his comeback and first new music in four years when he scooped best hip hop gong, beating Drake and Kendrick Lamar in the process.
It was a night of turn up and win, with Canadian heart-throb Shawn Mendes performing There’s Nothing Holding Me Back and bagging best song for the track. He also beat Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift to the best artist gong.

US star Camila Cabello was also rewarded after a steamy performance of her hit Havana, triumphing in best pop. The big British wins went to Dua Lipa who won best new and Ed Sheeran was best live — beating Eminem.
