Raye: After studio scare with exec I covered up

DRAKE’S new girlfriend Raye has a rule about covering up after alleging she was harassed by a male producer as a teen.
Sharing her ordeal exclusively with Guilty Pleasures, music’s hottest new property says she only wears ‘baggy clothes’ in the studio after the scary encounter.
Raye recalled: ‘I had an experience in LA where I turned up to the studio — just me and this guy in a small room. He started being weird, quite aggressive and shout-y. I remember telling him my opinion on some song and he was like, “You’re wrong”.’
The Decline singer ‘wanted to leave’ and called her manager to collect her, which is when — she claims — the unnamed producer made his move.
‘He sat next to me and started trying to touch my leg. It was horrible. I was 17. I pushed him off and ran out the studio,’ she said. ‘That’s just one occasion. When you’re a young female, everyone’s like, “You’re going to do what I want in order to climb that ladder”. It’s disgusting,’ she added.
Raye says the incident prompted her to re-think her wardrobe to ward off unwanted attention.
‘After that, for a year, I only wore baggy clothes to the studio. Nothing tight. Nothing revealing. It was difficult for me to trust people.’
But she assures fans she is as tough as nails these days. ‘It definitely helped me become stronger, take care of myself and not take s*** from anyone,’ she said.
This week, it was reported the Londoner, 20, has struck up a romance with rapper Drake, 31. The pair are said to be smitten with one another.
Perhaps she’ll pop up on Drizzy’s much-anticipated new album Scorpio, which will be released June 28.
Raye’s latest single Cigarette (ft Stefflon Don & Mabel) is out now.
