Pop hunk Calum Scott deluged with nude pics
CALUM SCOTT certainly has the ‘XXX factor’… after being inundated with naughty pictures and messages from admirers.
The You Are The Reason singer says he receives a very rude awakening when he rifles through his mailbag each morning.
Speaking exclusively to Guilty Pleasures, Calum explained how he has inspired plenty of erotic fan fiction following the release of his debut album Only Human.
The 29-year-old said he gets ‘tonnes’ of provocative parcels sent by fans daily, and exclaimed: ‘It’s quite scary, actually’.
‘When my sexuality wasn’t necessarily out there, I got a lot of stuff from the ladies. It’s not my bag but I can appreciate it,’ he laughed.
The openly gay pop star receives his fair share of attention from men, too, especially after appearing topless on the front cover of Gay Times earlier this year.
‘Oh my god, the things I’m sent,’ he blushed. ‘It’s quite explicit, I’ll be honest. I have a mixture of both [pictures and messages].’
It beats being sent creepy mementos, mind. ‘The weirdest was a lock of hair in a locket,’ Calum recalled.
‘I was like, “Erm, that’s lovely but what am I supposed do with it?”’
The former Britain’s Got Talent contestant came out shortly after appearing on the show in 2015, and is now billed as a bona fide gay heart-throb.
And Calum admits he finally feels comfortable in his own skin.
‘To go from a timid and anxious person when it comes to sexuality to feeling empowered and confident,’ he mused, ‘I’ve definitely never felt stronger about LGBT rights and the community, I feel a sense of belonging now.’
Tonight he will perform at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire before embarking on a European tour.
And he admits he is already worried about feeling homesick.
‘I have a key ring of my nephew that was made for me at Christmas, and I take my notebook with notes from my mum and sister. I’m quite a sentimental person,’ he said.
