Poldark star takes a bow after ‘death’

POLDARK star Heida Reed thanked fans for messages of praise after her character died in the series finale.

Viewers of the BBC’s Cornish drama saw Elizabeth Warleggan — hero Ross Poldark’s first love — take a potion to induce the premature birth of her baby, but succumb to its effects.

One fan said on Twitter: ‘You truly drowned me in my own tears tonight.’

The actress replied: ‘Thank you all for your super sweet words! And as always, thanks for watching!’

She had been in the series, which returns for a fifth season next year, since its reboot in 2015.
