Poldark leaves fans on cliff-edge

POLDARK fans were left hanging as the third series of the BBC drama came to an end with Ross and Demelza’s marriage in the balance.

Things went awry when Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) was finally won over by Hugh Armitage (Josh Whitehouse) in the sand dunes. Some viewers were thrilled, with one tweeting: ‘Can’t be the only one cheering Demelza on! Ross is an awful husband.’

But others were upset that she would risk her marriage to heartthrob Ross (Aidan Turner).

The series ended with an uncertain Ross and Demelza back together.

One fan said: ‘Nooo! How can Poldark finish like that?’ while another said simply: ‘I am bereft!!!’
