Pill-popper Robbie Williams on his Close Encounter with death

ROBBIE WILLIAMS has revealed that taking on ADHD pills almost killed him.
At the height of his woes, the former Take That-er took so much medication it left him ‘altered’.
Recalling his 2006 tour of Australia, the dad-of-two said: ‘I didn’t sleep. I’d been given tablets for my ADHD, and they contained speed.
‘I’m an addict, so one, two, three wasn’t going to do it. I’m having handfuls at a time.’
The Tripping singer took three years out of the limelight to recover. ‘I suppose there was …a breakdown,’ he writes in autobiography Close Encounters.
‘I’m not thinking by then,’ said Robbie, 43. ‘I’ve taken so many chemicals I’m altered… maybe beyond repair. It was a place where I was rapidly dying,’ the singer added.
