Peep at Tom in the name of art

TOM HIDDLESTON has defended his screen strips after getting his kit off in movie High-Rise and BBC TV series The Night Manager.

The 36-year-old, tipped to be the next James Bond, said he displayed his buff body for artistic reasons.

‘In both instances it is thematically linked to the story,’ he told the Star2.com website. ‘If you read JG Ballard’s High-Rise, which the film is based on, Dr Laing moves into his apartment on the 25th floor and sunbathes nude as he thinks he can’t be seen.’
