Paris reckons social media has ruined The Simple Life
SHE claims she invented the selfie — but Paris Hilton thanks her lucky stars her heyday came before the rise of social media.
The hotel heiress reckons she wouldn’t have been able to get away with partying so much if smartphone lenses were tracking her every move.
The 37-year-old, said: ‘I’m happy I grew up before Instagram and all this, because we used to have so much fun. No one had a camera out unless it was one of those disposable ones.’
The star of reality TV series The Simple Life added: ‘So everyone was actually talking and having fun. Nowadays, I feel everyone is always on their phone. They’re texting, they’re snapping, taking pictures.
‘Nobody has a good time like they used to,’ Paris told New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.
