Noughties but nice… Rihanna’s blast from past

RIHANNA brought the noughties bang up to date as she paraded around New York in Burberry checks.

The style queen put the British fashion house back on the radar as she stepped out in one of its iconic camel-coloured ensembles.

The Diamonds singer, 29, matched a £230 Burberry baseball cap with a trench coat that sells for £1,895 as she went out for dinner in the Big Apple.

And the Barbadian A-lister finished off her check-mate look with a twist — as she exhibited that she is probably the Only Girl in the world who can pull off wearing socks with high heels.

Burberry’s check print design famously lost some of its appeal after ex-EastEnders actress Daniella Westbrook, 43, sported an overkill look in the noughties — by dressing herself and daughter Jo head to toe in the iconic print.
