No seal of approval for Nic’s clap

NICOLE KIDMAN and her apparent inability to clap properly was a major talking point of this year’s Oscars.

The Aussie actress stole the show as eagled-eyed viewers zoomed in on her strange seal-like clapping technique. Breaking into applause at various points in the ceremony, 49-year-old Kidman was all palms, no fingers.

‘Nicole Kidman learned to clap at Sea World,’ quipped one Twitter user, while another claimed such a mechanical move ‘confirms she’s a robot’.

Others defended the Lion star — who lost out to Viola Davis in the best supporting actress category — and suggested she may have had wet nail polish or was weighed down by ‘a ring the size of the Empire State Building’. Kidman has yet to clap back at the comments.
