Nicole Kidman slaps down TV reporter for mentioning that Oscars ‘seal clap’
DO not talk to Nicole Kidman about her weird clapping — she’s completely over it.
Her ‘seal clap’ at last year’s Oscars — which became an internet meme — was raised when Nic and hubby Keith Urban were interviewed on CNN — and they weren’t happy about it.
The Big Little Lies star is up for a best actress gong at Sunday’s Golden Globes.
But when the Aussie — who adopted the unusual clapping technique to avoid scratching borrowed gems — was asked about it, she fumed: ‘I wish there was more important things to be concerned about.’
Hubby Keith Urban was also miffed by the question, sniping: ‘It’s a logical clap when you don’t want to slam your hands together with rings.’
