NICKI MINAJ has celebrated becoming the most prolific female artist on US’s Billboard countdown — by twerking up a storm.
The Bang Bang singer certainly gave a lot of bang for her buck when she discovered she had overtaken Aretha Franklin’s record — unbeaten for 40 years — by three tracks, with a total of 76 mentions in the Hot 100.
Taking to her Instagram page, Nicki posted a video of herself clad in red PVC shaking her impressive rear, which she captioned: ‘When u find out u just became the only woman in the history of billboard to have 76 Hot 100 billboard entries.’
The tracks that saw her break Franklin’s record are: No Frauds, a collaboration with Drake and Lil Wayne; Changed It, with Lil Wayne; and her latest track Regret in Your Tears.
On first hearing the happy news, Nicki posted a more sedate, monochrome shot alongside the words: ‘Man, I tell ya… God said he ain’t done showing off yet. Lol. Walked off stage to find out history was made yet again today.’
She also added her gratitude to her fans, writing: ‘I fkn love u guys more than I’ll ever be able to put in words. Thank u so much for your unwavering love & support. God bless each & every one of you.
