News just in… Charlotte Hawkins jives out of Strictly Come Dancing

NEWS presenter Charlotte Hawkins made the wrong headlines when she became the third celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
The Good Morning Britain host (pictured) was given the boot after finding herself in the dance-off with Davood Ghadami, 35. All four judges voted to save the EastEnders actor.
Hawkins, 42, failed to dazzle with her jive to Bruno Mars’ Marry You and scored just 19 points, sharing the bottom of the leader board with 54-year-old TV chef Simon Rimmer.
‘I’m so sad that my Strictly journey is over, but I’ve had the best time from start to finish,’ said Hawkins.
‘I’ll miss the glitter, I’ll miss the sparkles, I’ll miss the fun of it all, the glitz and the glamour.
‘But it’s the people I’ll miss most of all.’
Praising professional partner Brendan Cole (also pictured) — who argued with head judge Shirley Ballas last weekend — Hawkins said: ‘He’s phenomenal. I could not have wished for a better partner.’

Meanwhile, emotions ran high on Saturday’s show when Alexandra Burke broke down in tears over her late mother.
The X Factor winner was the night’s top performer, scooping 39 out of 40 possible points from the judges for her spectacular jive to Tina Turner’s Proud Mary with dance partner Gorka Márquez.
‘I just wish my mum was here,’ sobbing Burke told Strictly host Claudia Winkleman, who told the 29-year-old: ‘You did so well. Your boyfriend and your brother are here.’
Burke’s mother Melissa Bell, former lead singer of British R&B act Soul II Soul, passed away, aged 53, in August.
