Mum Kelly Clarkson feared losing her voice

KELLY CLARKSON has revealed feared she might never perform again after becoming a mum.

The Since You’ve Been Gone singer lost her voice while pregnant with daughter River, now three, and two-year-old son Remington.

‘How much I vomited was scary,’ she told GP. ‘I was warned by Jennifer Nettles, a country singer, “Don’t freak out when you have kids, because [you’re] not going to be able to sing, but it comes back,”’ she recalled. ‘I was a total jerk, “That’s not going to happen to me,” then it did and I freaked out,’ said Kelly, 36.

But her vocals were Stronger than ever when she hosted the Billboards. However, she hit a sombre note at the ceremony by making an impassioned plea for an end to gun violence following the shooting at Santa Fe High School in her home state, Texas.

‘I’m so sick of moments of silence. It’s not working. Why don’t we do a moment of action? A moment of change?’ she tearfully urged.
