Lovelorn Dr Alex finally locks lips with a lady
LOVE Island viewers were ecstatic as unlucky-in-love Alex George finally got a kiss.
The A&E doctor has not found love in the villa and has been in a friendship couple with Samira Mighty.
Things were looking up last night, however, when new girls Ellie Brown and Zara McDermott both picked him for a date.
His meal with Zara ended without a smooch and the episode finished without viewers seeing what went on with Ellie.
But a brief clip from tonight instalment saw the doctor puckering up and leaning in, delighting fans.
One thrilled viewer tweeted: ‘I actually feel like a proud mum right now !!’
‘YAAS ELLIE AND ALEX KISSED OMG PLS BE THE ONE FOR HIM PLEASE,’ said another.
A third commented: ‘Alex going from questioning “what is wrong with me” to calling himself a knight in shining armour and going in for a kiss on a date is the confidence growth I live for.’
While Alex enjoyed a good evening, many of the girls were feeling nervous as Ellie and Zara were able to choose three men each to date.
One of Ellie’s choices was Laura Anderson’s partner Wes Nelson, who also confessed to finding her attractive, leaving Laura feeling ‘a bit sad’.
‘I am just feeling so insecure and it’s rubbish,’ she said in the beach hut. ‘I’m a confident woman — what is wrong with me?’
Many viewers took Laura’s side, questioning how Wes could be so fickle.
‘How can Wes go from telling Laura that he’s falling for her, to just not caring about her or her feelings at all in the space of a few days,’ asked one person, while another commented: ‘Wes we were rooting for you!! We liked you babe but you legit just messed that up!’
